The Chordbender

    1. Accurately bends chords, even in nonstandard tuning.

    2.  New "Half-step stop": You can automatically bend chords or individual notes down exactly one half-step using the built-in "half-step stop" - when you want. Accurately prebending strings is a problem for even the best professional guitarist. Now you can play a perfect note and consistently and confidently release it precisely a half step with the whammy !  The whammy will keep you from overdoing the release.

    3.  New adjustable Arm: The arm stops up close to the strings (and the stopping point is adjustable for petite gals and burly guys) to give an "anchor" to picking, etc. - or remove the stop & you can "swing free" over the strings. The Arm's height can also be changed by changing the height of the Arm's locking post.

    4.  New: It can instantly act like a guitar without a whammy just by swinging the arm out of the way & into the locking post. This makes it much easier to tune (since other strings do not change pitch this way and the knob next to the tailpiece can be used to adjust spring tension when needed.

    5. It can bend chords up - while many whammies only bend down.

    6. Strings ride on Teflon ® which prolongs string life. You will also notice that a new level of creamy smooth sound is available since “micro metallic grinding” is eliminated.

A list of things to look for when shopping for a guitar with a whammy -

  1. Tuning is often a frustrating chore.
  2. Alternative tunings wreck chord bending even if you can get a whammy working in regular tuning. The ChordBender can be readily adjusted in a few minutes.
  3. Whammies are stiff and require strength and effort. When was the last time you saw a female guitarist working the whammy on a Fender Stratocaster?
  4. Many are expensive - and beyond the abilities of the typical musician to set up and maintain.
  5. Why not be able to do a glissando (slide-like) chord progression from A minor to G major using the whammy?
  6. After using them, many leave the guitar out of tune.
  7. The arms cannot be adjusted to the guitarist's liking.
  8. They have to be disassembled before going in the case.
